I love documenting motherhood, and I adore this duo. Jessica and Charles both mean so much to me, and it was so fun to spend the morning with them! Charles has grown so much since this shoot, it’s just crazy. Prioritizing having photos done during this time is so important. You really will not regret having this time documented <3
Charlie turned ONE on October 1st! The first year flies by so fast. It is so fun to watch little ones grow, and see their personality come out. Charlie is adorable, and the way he walks around with his arms up is so cute. I love the beginning stages of walking!
Indoor sessions are so fun! They are simple, easy, and classic. Who wouldn’t want photos like these hanging on their walls <3
The other day I shared a little about my mom, and how my loss is what fuels my passion for documenting motherhood. I feel so honored to be able to capture motherhood, families, and new life entering the world.
Here is what I shared the other day <3
Seven years. It's been 7 years today since I've been able to wish my mom a happy birthday. Six years since I have seen her face.
This is what fuels my passion for what I do. I want to capture moments between loved ones, so they can treasure them forever. I know first-hand how precious a photograph can be. I cannot say how much I wish I had more photos with my mom. She hated having her photos taken, and so I have very little.
Many amazing photographers that I know are mothers, and this is why they feel so passionate about documenting motherhood. I am very anxious for the day that I am a mother, but I don't need that role in order to feel how powerful motherhood is. I KNOW how powerful it is. How important that role is. I spent many teenage years disagreeing with how strict my mom was. Now, I wish I could hear her thoughts on my day-to-day life. I cannot go back in time and say more "I love you"s, but I can help others have those feelings captured in a photo. For THAT, I am thankful.
